Captain Raju loved to do humorous roles: Uday Krishna

Kochi: Veteran film actor Captain Raju passed away on Monday morning and celebs are offering condolence.

On working with Captain Raju, scriptwriter Uday Krishna said, “Before 'Masterpiece', I had worked with him in movies 'Udhayapuram Sultan' and 'CID Moosa'. And when he got to know about the movie 'Masterpiece', he asked me if I had a suitable role in this movie.” Raju was last seen in this 2017 movie.

“His health was in a very bad condition but still he wanted to be part of movies. I grew up watching his movies and his villainous roles. But unlike those roles, he looked forward for humorous characters. After he was noted for the role 'Pawanayi', he wanted to do similar roles”, said Krishna.

A few months ago, Captain Raju had suffered a stroke during a flight to America. He is survived by his wife Prameela and son Ravi.
