Kochi: The Department of Psychology at Rajagiri College of Social Sciences, in partnership with the Rajagiri Centre for Climate Change and Research (RCCCR) and the Sustainability and Social Responsibility Club of the Association of Commerce Students of Rajagiri (ACSR), marked World Pollution Prevention Day with a series of significant initiatives aimed at fostering environmental awareness. 

Under the guidance of Principal Rev. Fr. Dr. Saju M.D., CMI, the event featured Ernakulam District Coordinator of Children and Police SI Babu John P., Thooshan founder Vinay Balakrishnan, Dr. R. Bharathi Rajan, Dr. S. Antony Ceasar, and Dr. Anita Rajah, who spoke about sustainable practices and environmental responsibility.

The day's activities also included unveiling the second edition of the department's magazine, PsyNow, a publication emphasising psychological perspectives on sustainability. This edition was revealed in a formal ceremony that underscored the college's ongoing commitment to environmental issues.

Emphasising practical outreach, students organised a rally to promote environmental awareness within the community. Their activities extended to Kalamassery Government Higher Secondary School, where they performed a street play designed to educate young minds about the critical importance of pollution prevention.

The event was organised under the auspices of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and showcased a collaborative effort towards a cleaner, greener future.
