New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has clarified that the textbooks and syllabus for all classes, except 3 and 6, will remain unchanged from last year. This announcement aims to clear up confusion following the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) introducing several changes to school textbooks this year.

Meanwhile, NCERT authorities have stated that the new curriculum-based textbooks for class 6 will be available in July. Additionally, bridge lessons for class 6 have been published and are currently being taught to facilitate a smooth transition to the new curriculum.

NCERT is responsible for developing the national curriculum framework and preparing the textbooks used in schools affiliated with CBSE. The CBSE follows the guidelines and materials provided by NCERT for its curriculum. The textbooks published by NCERT are recommended for use in CBSE-affiliated schools. These textbooks are designed to align with the CBSE curriculum and educational standards.
