New Delhi/Thiruvananthapuram: The Union Health Ministry has made it clear that the cut-off percentile of Medical PG seats has been brought down to zero with the aim of admitting students in all Medical PG seats, and the same does not mean those with the lowest scores too will be granted admission.
The explanation comes in the wake of severe criticism over the reduction of the cutoff to zero. Of the 67,802 seats, 13,000 are vacant. The counseling will continue until admission to these seats is over. Last year, 4,400 seats remained vacant even after the cut-off was reduced from 50 percentile to 20.
The online admission process is transparent, and there is no scope for irregularities, the officials said.
