Birla Institute Of Technology And Science (BITS), Pilani, Goa, is all set for its annual sports fest 'Spree' which will be held from April 11 to 16. Dubbed one of the biggest college sports fests in India, it brings together students from various colleges across the country for different sports events.

The three-day event also provides an opportunity for students to showcase their extracurricular skills such as music, dance and theatre. The sports fest, organised by students of the campus, will also host cultural events with performances of renowned artists during evenings.

"Spree isn't just a sports fest, it's a platform that empowers young athletes to unleash their true potential and push beyond their limits,” said Paul Titus, chief coordinator of Spree.

Various sports competitions like cricket, basketball, volleyball, table tennis, badminton and chess will be held during the fest. Fun-filled programmes like tug-of-war and relay for students will also be part of the event.

“Spree is a dynamic platform for student athletes to demonstrate their exceptional skills and sportsmanship spirit. The fest also includes dance and music performances by popular artists that will set the stage ablaze,” said Vedant Gangrade, media coordinator of the event.

“To ensure utmost comfort and convenience for participants, we will be providing them accommodation in hostel common rooms equipped with all essential amenities. In addition, we have arranged food stalls and mess facilities that offer delicious meals to all the participants, making the experience even more enjoyable,” he added.

Those interested to take part in the event must apply on https://spree-reg-portal.pages.dev/. The last date for registration is April 7.
