Online applications are invited for the Joint Entrance Test (JET 2021) for admissions to the Film and Television Institute of India, Pune, and the Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute, Kolkata.

The last date for online application is 2 December. Visit the website https://applyjet2021.in/ for submitting the application and for more details.

Those who have a graduate degree in any subject can apply. Final-year graduate students too can apply for the entrance exam.

The test has been scheduled for December 18 and 19. The examination centre in Kerala is at Thiruvananthapuram.

In the 3 hour test, there will be objective-type questions and descriptive ones too. The details of the exam scheme are available on the application website.

Courses on offer
Before applying, familiarise yourselves with the courses that are offered at both institutes from the respective websites.

A single application is enough for applying to the courses in both the institutes. However, the candidates cannot apply for more than one course in a group.

The institutes at Pune and Kolkata would conduct admissions based on their own guidelines and policies.

Candidates who apply for art direction and production design course should have a graduate degree or equivalent qualification in applied arts, architecture, painting, sculpture or interior designing.

The stipulation that the applicants for the sound recording course should have studied Physics at the higher secondary (Plus-Two) level has been repealed this year.

Physically disabled candidates would get 5% reservation, while economically weaker sections would get 10% reservation as per the reservation guidelines of the central government.

JET score
The JET score would be published on the website.

The JET score, meanwhile, would be considered only in the initial phase of the admission. This would be followed by interview and orientation sessions.

The applicants must note that this score will be valid only till 30 September 2022.
