Doodling has many benefits for the brain as it aids the learning process for students. It helps to increase concentration, creativity, and retention. Doodling can give us the benefits of better memory, comprehension, and learning.

It is an artistic process that enhances problem-solving skills in children. Manorama Horizon, the online educational portal of Malayala Manorama, is conducting an exclusive free webinar on 'Visual learning using doodles.'

It includes a simple activity like drawing lines on paper and associating them with colours and figures which will help kids to perceive problems from different perspectives and evaluate innovative solutions.

This session will lead by Manpreet Kaur, founder of Pangeanz - an online language learning portal and co-author of the book 'Storytelling with doodles.'

The focus of the session is the process of doodling and how it can help learners of all ages to understand better and even drive creative behaviour in a time when we are flooded with digital content.

Drawing is not something that should be confined only to art lessons, it is a skill that can play a role in many different subject areas in school education, and later on in a workplace. This session will also share different ways to encourage kids to create rather than consume, and further record and share their learning by engaging in exercises that help them express their thoughts. The webinar will be held on May 28 at 11 am. Registration for the webinar has started and it is free of cost.
