Kottayam: After facing an outage on Wednesday, Facebook was down once again on Friday for many users across the world..

Users who tried to log on to the site received an apology message stating that something has gone wrong and they are working on it.

As promised, the site was back online after going off for over 5 minutes. Meanwhile, Twitter was flooded with messages on the outage from desperate netizens..

Though the browser version of the site was steady when it returned after the blackout, on Twitter, many complained that the mobile app was going offline intermittently. Hash tag #Facebookdown was trending worldwide on Twitter.
