The Kerala team had to face stiff resistance from the TN team during the semifinal of the Senior National Volleyball Championship held in Kozhikode on Tuesday.Kozhikode: The Kerala men's team on Tuesday defeated Tamil Nadu in straight sets (25-22, 30-28, 25-22) to enter the final of the Senior National Volleyball Championship here on Tuesday.
Kerala had to face stiff resistance from the neighbors. However, terrific performances by captain Jerome Vinith and Ajith Lal ensured that Kerala booked their berth in the title clash where they will meet Railways.
In the women's section, Kerala would face Railways in the final. Railways on Tuesday defeated Maharashtra in three straight sets (25-08, 25-14, 25-14), while Kerala had beaten Tamil Nadu in the semifinal on Monday.
Both the finals will be held on Wednesday.
