However, it seems Indian Premier League chairman Rajeev Shukla has not been following the fortunes of the team keenly as he congratulated the Indian eves on making it to the Champions Trophy final instead of the World Cup final.
"Congratulations to @BCCIWomen team for making it into the Champions trophy Final by beating Australia. Great knock by @ImHarmanpreet," Shulka, who is also a Congress MP, had tweeted after India stunned six-time champions Australia in the second semifinal on Thursday.
His tweet did not go down well with the fans as some even described it as 'insulting'.
The senior BCCI administrator later deleted his tweet.
