Twitter trembles when Shashi Tharoor types it out. Everytime, the writer-politician posts something on the micro-blogging site, tweeple go in search of a lexican.
Tharoor's enviable wealth of words has even led to the coinage of Tharoorasaurus - a portmanteau of Tharoor + thesauras.
In his latest tweet, Tharoor has again explored a little-known word that he found fit to hail Congress president Rahul Gandhi.
The Congress MP used the word 'eunoia' to qualify Rahul's speech at the Jan Akrosh rally held recently in New Delhi.
The word means “beautiful thinking; a well mind”. Explaining the word to his Twitter followers, Tharoor shared the usage of the word thus: “In rhetoric, eunoia is the goodwill a speaker cultivates between himself &his audience, a condition of receptivity. There was a lot of eunoia evident in @RahulGandhi’s #JanAakroshRally speech today.”
As usual, the tweet triggered a flood of appreciation for Tharoor's language skills.
