Kochi: In a noble gesture, Malayalam actor Manju Warrier has offered full support to 'Kerala Can', a cancer awareness campaign by Manorama News.
Manju on Sunday announced that she would donate Rs 25 lakh towards the treatment of poor women diagnosed with breast cancer. She made the announcement at a three-hour-long liveathon, first-of-its-kind in Malayalam channel, on Manorama News.
The amount will reach the needy through the Kochi Cancer Centre.
Manju said she would visit the RCC, Amala and Malabar cancer centres once in three months. She will also stage a dance programme to raise funds for cancer patients.
