Photo: FacebookThiruvananthapuram: Social worker and writer Aparna Prasanthi is being targeted online by the fans of Telugu superstar Allu Arjun apparently after she made an adverse comment against his latest film. She has been threatened with rape and murder by fanatic fans. They have also threatened to eliminate her family.
Prasanthi, who is the daughter of writer P Geetha, has complained to the Malappuram police, the DGP and the chief minister. However, there is no let up in the volley of abuses and threats she has been receiving for the past fortnight. Her trouble began soon after she made a comment on social media against a Telugu film dubbed in Malayalam as 'Ente Peru Surya, Ente Veedu India'.
The online attack is replete with obscene comments as well as rape and murder threats. Several such threats have come from original social media profiles. Even people close to her residence have sent threatening messages.
