Thiruvananthapuram: A student, who sought balance payment from a KSRTC bus conductor, got her concession card marked for a full month's travel in return.

The class 9 student of Thirumala AMHSS has filed a complaint against the woman bus conductor of Papanamcode depot to authorities. Though the depot authorities refused to accept the complaint, initially they gave in after public intervened.

As the concession period had expired, the student was paying full charge for the past one week for her commute from Perukavil to Thirumala. When she gave a Rs 20 note, the conductor told her that she will return the balance the next day.

When the student asked the money after two days, the conductor not only returned the balance amount but also took her concession card and marked that she has traveled till November 23.

Now, the student won’t be able to claim concession for her travel till November 23. When the student went to the depot and complained, the officer in-charge of ATO, spoke in defense of the conductor. Following this, the student has forwarded her complaint to the transport minister and the children rights commission.
