Now, KPAC Lalitha visits Dileep at Aluva sub jail KPAC Lalitha's brief visit to the jail, however, attracted widespread attention.

Kochi: Veteran Malayalam actress K.P.A.C. Lalitha visited actor Dileep, arrested for plotting the February 17 actress attack, at the Aluva sub jail on Saturday.

But the veteran actress did not speak to media after her brief visit to the jail.

A host of film personalities has been visiting the actor at the jail over the past few days. The first major visit was by wife and actress Kavya Madhavan and daughter Meenakshi. Friend Nadhirshah had also visited the actor in jail earlier this month. Jayaram, who visited Dileep ahead of Onam, had even gifted an 'Onakkodi'.

However, actor-turned-politician Ganesh Kumar, who made pro-Dileep statements after his visit to the jail, had to face legal action. Cops probing the actress attack case had moved the court against Ganesh Kumar, alleging that such statements may influence the witnesses. However, despite the diktat by the police, actor Sreenivasan too said that he did not think Dileep would commit such a crime.

Dileep was arrested by the police for allegedly hiring goons to attak the young actress and videotape the harassment. The police had arrested Pulsar Suni, who had worked as a driver of many film personalities, six days after the incident. A letter which Pulsar Suni purportedly wrote to actor Dileep had caused a furore.

Dileep had undergone a marathon 13-hour grilling at the Aluva police club days ahead of his arrest. The actor had approached the police saying that the prime accused tried to blackmail him from jail. Things went awry for Dileep after the police found discrepancies in his statements.
