Thiruvananthapuram: Clash, directed by Mohamed Diab, which realistically portrayed the troubles Egypt went through in its recent history, won the Golden Crow Pheasant (Suvarna Chakoram) Award for best film at the 21st International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK) which concluded here Friday.
The film also won the award for best film chosen by the audiences with 30 percent of the audiences voting for it.

Silver Crow Pheasant Award for best director went to Yesim Ustaoglu for his film Clair Obscur.

The awards were given away by Kerala chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan at a grand festival here. Earlier, addressing the gathering Pinarayi hailed the organizers for making the event a success despite limitations.
Debutante director Vidhu Vincent made Malayalam film world proud by winning two awards – Her film Manhole won the Fipresci Award for best Malayalam film while she won the Silver Crow Pheasant Award for best debut director.
The international awards were chosen by the jury headed by Israeli filmmaker Michel Khleifi. Fipresci jury was headed by Anders E Larsson.
