She has bagged ten million likes, which is the highest by any Malayalam film personality. This is the first time that anyone from Mollywood has touched the ten million mark.
Among Malayalam film stars, Dulquer Salman has 4.9 million likes, Mohanlal has 4.3 million, and Mammotty has 3.6 million likes on Facebook. Meanwhile, actor Prithviraj Sukumaran has 3 million likes. The surge in Miya's popularity in social media was triggered by her foray into Telugu films and her success there.
It was Nazriya who had come close to Miya with 7.6 million likes. However, there was a dent in Nazriya's fan base post marriage. Miya entered filmdom through Kunchako Boban-starrer Doctor Love. She is now a sought after actress in the Tamil and Telugu film industries too.
