Apple's iPhone X, iPhone 8, & Watch - reviewed by netizens Apple Inc. has sold more than 1.2 billion iPhones over the past decade and ushered in the era of mobile computing | Photo: Getty images

Marking the 10th anniversary of the iPhone, Apple on Tuesday announced iPhone X, the company's first smartphone to feature a full-screen display. The company has sold more than 1.2 billion iPhones over the past decade and ushered in the era of mobile computing.

"For more than a decade, our intention has been to create an iPhone that is all display. The iPhone X is the realization of that vision," said Jony Ive, Apple's Chief Design Officer. Apple has announced that it's pre-orders will begin on October 27, with shipping to begin November 3.

However, people gave a mixed reaction about the key features in Apple's ambitious iPhoneX, iPhone 8, and Apple Watch.

Price

The iPhoneX 64GB storage version is priced at Rs 89,000 in India and the 256GB version will cost Rs 102,000. Iphone 8 price starts at Rs 64,000.

Face ID

Apple has replaced TouchID in its new flagship iPhone X with FaceID, a system where your face acts as the password. In doing so, it's about to give an unproven biometric security technology its biggest field test yet.

Wireless charging

The technology allows users to charge their phone by placing it on an inductive surface. Apple users will finally have access to wireless charging, if they buy one of the company's new phones and a charging pad.

Apple Watch

The new watch will sport a quad core processor and since Siri will now be able to talk, you can ask it a question and won't need to look at the watch for an answer.

Animoji

Animoji will use the Face ID hardware face-scanning features of the iPhone X to create custom 3D versions based on your own facial expressions.
