Mumbai: Star batsman Yuvraj Singh was named in the Indian One-Day International (ODI) and T20 squads for the three-match series against England, led by new skipper Virat Kohli, starting on January 15.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who on Wednesday stepped down as the limited overs side skipper, was included in both the sides as a wicketkeeper-batsman.

Shikhar Dhawan and Ajinkya Rahane were recalled to the team after being out due to injuries by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) selection panel.

All-rounders Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja, who were rested for the New Zealand ODIs, are also back in the squad. The duo played in the five Tests against England.

Veteran left-hander Suresh Raina, who was ignored for the England ODIs, found himself along with pacer Ashish Nehra in the squad for the three T20Is. Wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant was named in the T20 squad.

Kerala batsman Sanju V. Samson has made it to the Indian 'A' team for the first of the two warm-up matches against England on January 10, Tuesday.

Earlier, the selection committee meeting was delayed for close to two-and-a-half hours owing to a lack of clarity over procedure in the wake of the Supreme Court order on Monday leaving the BCCI without most of its office-bearers. Amitabh Choudhury, the BCCI joint-secretary who was to act as secretary after the incumbent Ajay Shirke was removed from office, had requested the meeting to be held in the evening so that he could attend. But, the Lodha Committee clarified that Choudhury was also no longer eligible to continue as joint-secretary as he has been an office-bearer with Jharkhand Cricket Association for more than nine years and that the selection meeting should go ahead.
