Aishwarya Rai Bachchan with her father Krishnaraj Rai. PTI/File photoMumbai: Actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's father Krishnaraj Rai passed away Saturday at a suburban hospital in Mumbai. He is survived by wife Vrinda Rai, son Aditya Rai and apart from daughter Aishwarya.
"Aishwarya's father Krishnaraj Rai passed away at the Lilavati Hospital in suburban Bandra," the publicist of the actress told PTI.
Krishnaraj Rai was reportedly fighting cancer and was taken to the hospital earlier this month. He was shifted to the intensive care unit (ICU) last week.
Aishwarya, her husband Abhishek Bachchan, in-laws Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan had visited Rai in the hospital.
