New Delhi: The theft of a quick reaction team (QRT) vehicle from outside the Kotla Mubarakpur residence of a police personnel, ahead of the Independence Day celebrations, has sent the Delhi police in a tizzy.
The police said that the incident was reported last week when the vehicle, attached to the Tughlak Road police station was stolen. The police officer had gone home driving the vehicle and parked it outside his house, but when he returned, he found that the vehicle had been stolen.
A case has been registered and police are on the lookout for the accused. In view of the theft, all the police personnel have been instructed to remain on a tight vigil, and keep an eye for the vehicle, they added.
