Palakkad: Tremors were felt at various points in the south-west regions of Palakkad district late Sunday night as a minor earthquake struck the areas, spreading panic among the people. However, no casualty has been reported. It is learnt that houses and electrical appliances were damaged.
Tremors were felt at Thrithala, Pattambi, Kodalloor, Sankaramangalam, Thirumittakode, Ezhuvakkode and Arattukara. Local residents said they heard a loud noise during the tremors. Panicked, people ran out of their houses.
