Thiruvananthapuram/Kochi: The vigilance and anti-corruption bureau raided the flats of senior IAS officer Tom Jose on Friday.
The vigilance raided Jose's flats in Ernakulam and Thiruvananthapuram simultaneously as part of collecting evidence in a case of amassing disproportionate assets. Earlier, an FIR was filed against Jose in Muvattupuzha vigilance court. Jose is also the president of IAS Association in Kerala.
The move comes close on the heels of additional chief secretary K.M. Abraham lodging a complaint with the chief minister against Vigilance director Jacob Thomas, accusing him of acting "vengefully".
The vigilance has alleged that Jose had purchased land in Maharashtra's Sindhudurg illegally.
Meanwhile, Jose denied the allegations and said he has submitted property documents to authorities concerned.
