While four actresses resigned from the association for being insensitive to the assault case, actress Manju Warrier has not responded.
Kerala State Women's Commission member M.C. Josephine backed the decision of the four actresses and said, “The four women should be appreciated for taking such a strong decision. Even Manju Warrier should not hesitate to open up and raise her voice. She shouldn't fear anyone in this regard.”

Slamming the decision by Mohanlal as AMMA office-bearer to take Dileep back, Josephine said: “Never expected such a movie from a person like Mohanlal who is involved with matters of social concern.
