Arunima entered the driver’s cabin and attacked the driver when the bus had stopped for some passengers to alight.Alappuzha: A young woman who thrashed a KSRTC bus driver in ‘cinema style’ has been arrested by the Ambalapuzha police. Arunima (26) wife of Jijith, belonging to Perambra in Kozhikode, had forced the KSRTC bus to stop by blocking it with her car before assaulting the driver.
The woman alleged that the bus had hit the car in which she was travelling with her husband and other family members from Kozhikode to Kollam. The bus was bound for Kollam from Ernakulam.
According to the police, Arunima entered the driver’s cabin and launched the attack at the Purakkad Junction, where the bus had stopped for some passengers to alight. At that time, the car was swerved deliberately across the road, right in front of the bus and blocking it.
