The Kochi Metro authorities informed that services will be available only between Aluva and Palarivattom on Friday.

Road traffic was suspended following the incident.Though no casualties were reported, occupants of nearby buildings were evacuated as a precautionary measure.
Vehicular traffic was also affected as deep cracks were formed on the road following the incident. Traffic has been blocked on the road passing through the accident spot, which is near the metro track between Kaloor and Lisie Hospital.

Ernakulam collector, who visited the spot, has ordered for a probe into the incident.
