Salim, son of well-known Malayalam novelist Kottayam Pushpanath, collapsed at Anavilasom Plantation Resort in Kumily on Tuesday morning. The resort was owned by him.
Though he was rushed to St John's Hospital in Kattappana, he was declared brought dead by the doctors there.
The hospital authorities said the reason for the death was not known.
