Youth killed as overspeeding car rams auto, turns turtle in Kerala capital Fire force personnel were called in to help take out the passengers from the damaged vehicle.

Thiruvananthapuram: A youth died after he lost control over his speeding car that rammed an autorickshaw and an electric pole before overturning in front of the Raj Bhavan here late Thursday evening.

The police suspect that rash driving could have led to the accident that claimed the life of 20-year-old Adarsh of Vallakadavu and injured three girls. He is the son of New Theater owner Mahesh Subramanian. Adarsh's sister Gauri Lakshmi is among the three critically injured girls. She and the other two girls - Ananaya, 24, and Shilpa- have been admitted to a hospital. Auto driver - Sajikumar - who suffered head injuries is also hospitalized.

The speeding car was coming from Velliyambalam to Kawardiar. Local people could not open the car and they sought the fire force personnel's help to take out the passengers from the damaged vehicle.
