Kochi: Writer, vedic scholar, and social activist Thuravoor Viswambharan passed away on Friday. He was 74.
He was a professor of Malayalam at Maharaja's College in Ernakulam and had in-depth knowledge of Sanskrit and Indian mythology.
His discourses on mythology and the Vedas were sought after. He is known for making simplified explanations of the profound in the Mahabharatha and Ramayana.
He contested as a BJP candidate from the Thripunithura assembly seat in the last assembly elections in Kerala.
