Representational imageWayanad: A 48-year-old man was killed and another person injured in a landslide near a resort in the hilly district on Tuesday following heavy rain.
Kunhu Muhammed died on the spot while 52-year-old Unni had been admitted to a hospital in Kalpetta with injuries, police said.
The incident occurred in remote Padinjarathara.
Various parts of the district were being lashed by heavy rain for the last two days.
Holiday had been declared for all educational institutions barring professional colleges in the district on Tuesday in view of the continuing rain, district officials said.
