The Kerala High Court Tuesday rejected the bail plea of actor Dileep for a second time.
Reports suggested that the single bench rejected the petition after the prosecution submitted strong evidence against the actor in the February 17 actress attack case. It seems Dileep’s wife and actress Kavya Madhavan’s statement had proved vital for the prosecution.
Although Dileep had denied of having ever known Pulsar Suni, the main accused in the case, the police had reportedly found that he had worked as her driver. Kavya reportedly confessed to the police that Suni had called Dileep from her phone and that she had given Rs 25,000 to Suni as per the actor's instructions. The actress had earlier denied knowing Suni.

The prosecution had also submitted that the Special Investigation Team (SIT) is yet to locate the mobile phone and memory card which are crucial pieces of evidence in the case and so Dileep cannot be released.
