Thiruvananthapuram: In a major rejig in the Kerala police force, senior officer Tomin J. Thachankary has been transferred along with several others.
Thachankary, ADGP, police headquarters, has been appointed commandant general, Fire and Rescue Services. He has been replaced by S. Anandakrishnan, who has been serving as the transport commissioner. Anilkanth, ADGP, Vigilance, will replace Anandakrishnan.
Incumbent fire force chief A. Hemachandran, DGP, has been appointed Crime Branch chief, replacing Nitin Agarwal. Agarwal has been transfered as ADGP, KSEB vigilance.
The government has effected a reshuffle in the intelligence wing too. While Vinod Kumar has been appointed IG, internal security, E. Jayarajan, IG, has been shifted to the Crime Branch.
Dinedra Kashyap, who heads the team probing the actress attack case, has been appointed IG, headquarters. It is believed that some district police chiefs and commissioners have also been transferred.
