Rimi TomyAluva: The police team probing the sensational actress attack case has reportedly questioned young-actress-cum-anchor Rimi Tomy. She is a close friend of actor Dileep, an accused in the case, and his wife Kavya Madhavan, it is learned. The police team had taken note of her ‘suspicious behavior’ after the attack on the actress came to light.
Sources said that the investigators waited as they thought questioning her before the interrogation of Dileep and Kavya would be of no use. Her financial sources and dealings had also been under the scanner.
Dileep to approach HC again for bail
Dileep, who has been lodged in the Aluva sub jail under judicial custody since July 11 in connection with the abduction and sexual assault of an actress, will move a second bail application in the Kerala High Court.
The actor decided to approach the HC again, which had dismissed his earlier bail plea, after his lawyers called on him in the jail on Wednesday.
His counsels met him at the sub jail superintendent's office around 11.30 am and the meeting lasted about 20 minutes.
Earlier, there were reports that Dileep was planning to move the Supreme Court after the HC turned down his bail plea.
It is learned that the actor changed his mind after being advised that if he received an unfavorable decision from the apex court too, it would result in further delay in getting bail.
However, if the HC once again dismisses his bail plea, he will approach the Supreme Court.
Dileep’s brother Anoop, accompanied by a friend, had visited Dileep in the jail immediately after he was denied bail by the High Court on Monday.
It is alleged that the friend, a hotel owner, was given permission to visit Dileep in violation of the orders issued by the special investigation team and senior prison officers.
