Kochi: A fuel shortage is staring at Kerala with dealers announcing a statewide strike on Tuesday.
The 24-hour strike began Monday midnight.
However, the state is likely to face fuel shortage until Thursday as several pumps stopped refilling Sunday itself.
The new stocks will be refilled only on Wednesday. Several pumps have already put up a 'no stock' board.
There will be neither sale nor purchase of fuel in pumps on Tuesday.
Fuel dealers have announced the strike to protest against the daily revision of prices, which, they allege, cause huge loss to them.
Dealers in each state will go on strike on different days.
