Kochi: It is work as usual for metro man E. Sreedharan. The reports of him being denied a seat on the dais for the Kochi Metro launch seems to have little or no effect on the DMRC chief mentor as he went about inspecting the stations of the Kochi Metro on Thursday.
He was spotted at Palarivattom station, inspecting the rakes and amenities, ahead of the metro launch on Saturday.
KMRL inaugural: SPG 'throws' 10 chairs off dais, CM Pinarayi writes to PM Modi
A controversy had erupted after the names of Sreedharan and others were found missing from the list of dignitaries who will share the stage with prime minister Narendra Modi during the inaugural. The state government on Wednesday asked the PMO to accommodate three more dignitaries, including Sreedharan.
However, Sreedharan had said that he would be taking part in the inauguration and there was no room for any controversies.
The PM will inaugurate Kochi Metro Rail Limited (KMRL) commercial services on the 13-km Aluva-Palarivattom section at 11 am.
