Kochi: With just nine days to go for the inaugural run of the much-anticipated Kochi Metro, Kochi Metro Rail Limited (KMRL) is busy with some final tuning.

A variety of themes are on display at the stations. The Western Ghats and the naval history have found a place on the walls.

The walls of the metro stations pretty much recreate the culture and history of Kerala. Aluva station is adorned with the history of Periyar that fondles the hills as it flows down. The blue river flows wide not only on the walls, but also on the floors.

Muttam station features an array of colorful of birds found only in the Western Ghats. At Edappally, one finds Kerala's spices as theme.

The stadium station, yet unfinished, will bear testimony to the state’s sporting history. Maharaja’s station will feature the history of Kerala.
