Kochi: Crime Branch is inquiring about two young men, who were spotted in CCTV visuals, in connection with the death of chartered accountancy student Mishel Shaji Varghese. The youth were seen arriving on the bike as Mischel leaves the St. Antony's Church in Kaloor, a busy pilgrim center.

While being on a bid to identify them, the Crime Branch clarified that it is not certain if they have any role in her death. Earlier, local police had inquired about these men and said they were identified, but had no connection to the case. However, the Crime Branch version is that they could not be located.

Mishel's family had raised doubts about the two men, claiming that they might have came to the church in search of Mishel. They also claimed that she seemed scared in the CCTV visuals after she spotted them.

The Crime Branch officers clarified that these young men are not accused in the case. However, the probe agency is seeking help from public for information on the two.

Mishel's body was found near the warf in Wellington Island a day after she was found missing. She was found to be present at the St. Antony's Church in Kaloor on the same day. She was last spotted in the CCTV footage from Goshree bridge in Kochi.
