M.K. Muneer. ManoramaMalappuram: The Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) on Saturday named M.K. Muneer as its legislature party leader.
The party had to find a replacement after P.K. Kunhalikutty was elected to the Lok Sabha from Malappuram in the recent by-polls. V.K. Ebrahim Kunju will be the deputy leader and M. Ummer, the whip.
Now, focus shifts to IUML's Vengara candidate
The party said it would decide on the Vengara candidate after the assembly by-poll notification is issued.
