1. Egg Mask
Why: Egg white helps in softening your hair. It is rich in proteins, zinc, sulphur, iron, phosphorus and iodine, it is the most amazing mask you can apply on your hair for better hair growth.
How: Apply only the egg white to your hair. Leave it on for 15 minutes. It will look shinier and healthier instantly. Wash off after15 minutes. Repeat often to ensure that your hair grows in a healthier manner.
2. Egg, honey, olive oil pack
Why: Honey rejuvenates dry, damaged and brittle hair. It attracts and stores moisture in the hair strands. The antioxidants and nutrients present in it enrich the hair follicles with the essential nutrients that promote hair growth. Olive oil blocks the production of DTH hormone that causes narrowing of the follicle shafts. The antioxidant in the oil improves the state of the scalp and neutralizes the damage caused by styling products. It also fights dandruff, fungi and bacteria and keeps hair clean and healthy.
How: Add one teaspoon of honey and olive oil to egg white in a bowl. Mix it together and apply this paste over your hair and leave it on for 20 minutes. Rinse it off with cool water and shampoo your hair.
3. Curry leaves and coconut oil
Why: Curry leaves has properties that aid hair growth. It also prevents your hair from graying. The fatty acids in coconut oil bind with the hair proteins and protect the hair strands from root to tip and prevent breakage. It seals the moisture in your hair by penetrating through the hair shaft and protecst it from pollution as well as heat.
How: Take half-a-cup of coconut oil and add fresh curry leaves to it. Boil it together, without burning the leaves. Apply the black residue formed to your hair for two weeks and see the difference.
4. Rosemary oil
Why: Prepared from the rosemary herb, this oil increases cell division and accelerates the blood circulation. It has proved to be effective for hair growth and is used as a hair tonic.
How: Take two tablespoons of shampoo and mix two tablespoons of rosemary oil into it. Shampoo your hair with this mixture. Also try massaging your scalp with equal amounts of olive oil and rosemary oil.
5. Lemon juice
Why: Lemons are rich in vitamin C and vitamin B (including B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B12), antioxidants and folic acid – it is a power packed natural remedy for hair growth. In addition, it also fights dandruff. Lemon juice stimulates blood circulation in the scalp and prevents hair loss.
How: Mix 1 tablespoon of lemon juice with 2 teaspoons of coconut or olive oil. Apply this mixture evenly on scalp and hair, Wait for 1 hour and wash your hair with a mild shampoo.
6. Onion
Why: The sulphur present in onions boosts the formation of collagen tissues that promotes hair growth.
How: Take 2 to 3 onions and grate them to extract the juice. Apply this juice on the scalp and leave it on for 30 minutes. Now, wash your hair with a mild shampoo.
