The Malayali audience clearly adores their favorite actress – anchor Arya who effortlessly switches between the roles of a hilarious comedienne and a graceful host. However, Arya vows that her real passion 'fashionably' lies in the haute couture. The television diva, who is known for her elegant sartorial choices, talks about her shows and business venture.
“It was through modelling that I entered the mini screen. I had done modelling assignments since my college days. My experiences in modelling truly helped me overcome my camera fear, and I started doing anchoring for television programmes. I try different get-ups and looks for every show, so that the audience doesn't get bored, says the fashion enthusiast in Arya. Though Arya is a graduate in literature, she ended up on-screen.
Aroya for fashion
Her love to be known as a fashion designer, and her passion for couture prompted her to open a designer boutique ‘Aroya’ in Thiruvananthapuram.
The Badai Banglavu star says, “Aroya is a portmanteau of mine and my daughter, Roya’s, names. It is a designer boutique which concentrates on designing custom-made garments and apparels for our customers, especially for events like weddings. I have assistants to help me out with the business. Our business is doing really well. Whenever I am not busy shooting, I will be running to the boutique. Another thing that I enjoy is designing pretty clothes for my daughter.”
The style icon says she likes to dress up according to the nature of the event. She adds that her choice of costumes would be entirely different when she is the presenter of a mega event, from the ones that she would wear for her superhit mini-screen programs. “Even though I love to try out different clothes, I have a special liking for elegant saris. My fashion statement is about wearing the clothes which enhance our confidence and equally make us feel comfortable,” the actress signs off.
