Kerala health minister K.K. Shailaja too joined them in their ride over the city. The students gave a warm reception as the minister reached the metro station.
The students said they were extremely happy to be traveling on the metro. They also gifted some of their creations and paintings to the minister. The minister also posed for selfies with the kids.
The public can access the metro from Monday (June 19) after buying tickets.
The service will be along the 11 stations between Aluva and Palarivattom. Passengers can either buy a ticket from the counter or buy the ‘Kochi One’ card.
