Thiruvananthapuram: Delegates of the 22nd International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK) can now reserve their seats from 12.00 am to 11.59 pm for the films that are screened for the next day. Earlier, delegates had to wait till 8 am in order to book tickets for the next day with technical glitches adding up to the trouble.
The decision to change the time comes after the reservation system came to a halt on Sunday. “I had to skip one movie in the morning just to book tickets for the next day and I couldn’t book because of technical issues. It was just a waste of time. I hope the change in the timing will make things easier though we will have to sit till 12 for reservation,” said Rakesh, a delegate.
Some delegates even tried to enter the theaters forcefully alleging irregularities in the reservation system. A few others who had reserved tickets were even asked to leave as the seats were filled early.
With the new change in the timing, the reservation facility will close at 11.59 pm on the previous day of the show. A delegate can book up to three shows a day. There will also be cancellation facility at the same time.
Delegates can reserve their tickets by logging on to registration.iffk.in or through IFFK mobile application on Android and iOS platforms.
