A crunchy mixture with peanuts and yellow split dal is a popular snack to enjoy with evening tea, especially while its raining outside. From 'spicy' to incredibly 'sweet,' the snack is available in multiple flavours in the market.

But, at a time when people are generally health-conscious, many stay away from munching on mixture to ensure clean eating habits. For those who want to relish the snack without worrying about its health aspects, here's the recipe of a poha mixture that's not fried in oil but tastes as excellent.

Ingredients
1.5 cups flattened rice
¼ cup peanuts
¼ cup yellow split dal
¼ cup cashews
¼ cup raisins
1 tsp chili powder
¼ tsp turmeric powder
¼ tsp asafoetida
1 tsp powdered sugar
1 tsp oil
Curry leaves

Preparation
Heat 1 tsp oil in a pan
Fry cashews and raisins by sprinkling some salt
Transfer these into a bowl
Now roast the peanuts and yellow split dal
Keep them aside
Toast the flattened rice too in the same pan on low flame
The flattened rice would crisp in under five minutes
Into it add the fried cashews, raisins, peanuts and yellow split dal
Add turmeric powder, asafoetida, salt and powdered sugar
Mix well
Crunchy poha mixture is ready.
