Ingredients
1½ tsp yeast
¼ cup milk
2 tsp sugar
A pinch of salt
250gm maida
50gm butter
1 tsp baking powder
1 egg
100gm prawns
Oil, as required
1 onion, finely chopped
½ inch garlic, finely chopped
2-3 green chillies, finely chopped
1 tsp chilli powder
½ tsp turmeric powder
Salt, as required
½ cup coriander leaves, finely chopped
Oil, to fry
Preparation
Mix the yeast with slightly warm milk
Add salt and sugar to this mixture
Mix this with maida, butter, baking powder and egg, and make it into fine dough
Now, roll this into round ball shapes, and keep aside
The dough should rise to double its actual size
Clean the prawns and keep it aside
Take a pan and heat oil in it
Add onions, ginger and green chillies to the pan and sauté well
When it becomes soft, add turmeric powder and chilli powder
When you get the aroma of the spices being roasted, add the cleaned prawns to this and mix well
Keep stirring until all the water dries up
Add required amounts of coriander leaves and salt, and switch off the stove. This is the filling
Make small round shaped balls from the dough kept aside
Make a hole in the centre of each ball. Now, stuff those holes with the filling and make round shapes of them again
On a fine tray, place each ball. You'll see that it will become double its actual size
