Love is like a boat in the sea: tides, waves and storms will come by, but if your love is strong, your little boat will stay afloat. 'Thirayayi', the four-minute-33-second musical video by Shajeer Basheer, aptly depicts that thought.
The video, which features Veeram actress Ketaki Narayan and Mohammed Fawas, talks about three things - music, body and love. Talking to Onmanorama about their maiden venture, Shajeer said, ''No matter where you are and how you are, a person will always have some room for love in his heart. We attempt to show that two people will remain in love even if they are in wholly different comfort zones''.
Directed and captured by Shajeer himself, the video is edited by Gokul Chandran and the lyrics of the song is penned by Jubith Namradath. The soulful musical by Sangeeth Rajagopal and composed by Dev has crossed 25,000 views in just three days.
When asked about creating the setting and mood, Shajeer said, ''We had initially planned to shoot the players in nude. But considering the ethical and moral side of society, we dropped such an attempt and chose the costumes accordingly. The costume was specially designed for the video and the hands behind it was Remya Suresh. It was completely shot at Pepper house in Kochi and the production was handled by Dravida.''
Actress-dancer Rima Kallingal had launched the music video on her Facebook page, applauding the refreshing initiative. She wrote, ''Love the mood and free flowing energy. And the passion and depth in spite of that. The intensity of the dancers and the fresh choreographed moves. Beautifully captured. Kudos to the director and his team. (sic.)''.
