'Kali' music review: Gopi Sunder keeps it plain and simple

Soon after the trailer of Dulquer Salmaan starrer Kali was released, the BGM of the one-minute-14-second-video was noted and music composer Gopi Sunder was trolled for copying the tune from Hollywood movie The man from Uncle.

When Onmanorama caught up with the tunesmith to clear the air, he said he did it knowingly. “I did it for fun and it was just a trailer. Anyone can easily spot that score," he said.

The musician is also not bothered by the trolls on social media. “I consider getting trolled as something positive. The trolls are really creative. I don't have anything against it. Although I had taken the trailer's background score from the movie 'The man from Uncle', I had made a few changes as well. For all those allegations, I have given my reply all these years through my songs and in future too I will continue the same. People are not fools. Getting recognised through the songs is itself a huge recognition.”

Earlier, sharing the trailer of the movie on his Facebook page, Gopi Sunder himself posted, “See the reach of a copy stuff. Your click is our money.” He also shared the troll photograph saying, "I liked the creativity. I respect that. Classic. (sic.)"
