Yesudas and SPBAfter an interval spanning several decades, veteran singers K.J. Yesudas and S.P. Balasubrahmanyam are teaming up to croon for a Malayalam film. The duo is coming together for the upcoming film Kinar after their song together in the 1991-blockbuster Thalapathi.
The song 'Kaattukuyilu' was born out of the hit combination of Mani Ratnam, Ilayaraja, lyricist Vaali and singers Yesudas and S.P.B. The song from the iconic film was a massive hit.
Kinar is directed by M.A. Nishad and the songs of the film are composed by M. Jayachandran. The lyrics are penned by B.K. Harinarayanan and Palani Bharathi. The film will be released in Tamil too, titled as Keni. The film, which deals with the issue of potable water, is produced by Fragrant Nature Creations. They had earlier produced Mohanlal-starrer Pranayam.
