The Golden Globe is an American title presented by Hollywood Foreign Press Association honoring the brilliance in film and television industry. Indians can watch the much awaited star-studded award night Monday morning from 6.30 am January 9, Monday. The event will go live from the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles and will be live streamed on NBC.com. The 74th edition of the awards gala will be presented by the super-energetic Jimmy Fallon, who is known as the host of The Tonight Show, a TV show on NBC. A perfect entertainer and a comedian, Fallon is definitely going to fascinate the audience. His ability to make the audience burst into laughter makes him the perfect host for the event.

Any Indian face in this year’s Golden Globes?

Of course! Indian-origin actor Dev Patel is contesting for Best Supporting Actor award for his performance in Lion, a film that tells the story of an Indian boy who gets adopted by an Australian couple. Lion is in the race for 3 other awards, including the Best Motion Picture – Drama category. Lion also stars Rooney Mara, David Wenham, Nicole Kidman and Indian actors Abhishek Bharate, Priyanka Bose, Deepti Naval, Tannishtha Chatterjee, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Sunny Pawar. Out of them, Patel and child actor Pawar will also take roles as award presenters.

We will also get to see the talented Priyanka Chopra at the award show. Remember how she made a stunning fashionable debut at the red carpet of Oscars and Emmys last year? Priyanka, who received praise for role in TV series Quantico and is awaiting the release of her Hollywood debut Baywatch, will be one of the presenters at the gala.

Spot your favorite stars

Other than Priyanka, the star-studded event will also have your favorites as presenters, including last year’s Best Actor Oscar winner Leonardo DiCaprio.
