Actor Bala

For the past few days, social media was abuzz with reports that actor Bala got into a brawl with some locals in a parking lot and injured himself.

When Onmanorama caught up with the actor to clear the air, Bala was in the midst of a shoot at Palakkad.

The actor seemed surprised to learn about the media reports and said: “Many are ringing me up to ask about the same. Don't know how things like these become news.”

Talking about the incident, Bala said: “It's true that something happened. Almost about 20 days back in Ernakulam at a parking space, a land owner and his son-in-law were having some kind of personal argument. Just for a few seconds, I stood witness to their fight and left the spot immediately. Perhaps that's how the reports came into being.”

“I even contacted the media house who broke that news. Apologising about the wrong news, they assured me to take the story offline. I hope this clears the air. Currently, I am on the sets of Kalam Parenje Kadha.”

Bala also revealed that the shooting of Mohanlal-starrer Pulimurugan has been wrapped up. “Purimurugan is one of the biggest movies that Malayalam audience will get to see. So naturally it will take some more time. The big-budget movie is tentatively slated to release by July 7.”
