Chennai: Actor and mimicry artist Ashwin Kumar has been roped in as the replacement for filmmaker Gautham Menon, who was originally cast to play an important role in upcoming Malayalam film Jacobinte Swargarajyam.
Ashwin, who is also a Dubai-based businessman, is making his Malayalam debut with this project.

"Gautham was originally part of the project. He even grew beard for his role; however, he had to exit due to prior commitments. Ashwin came on board as his replacement. He plays a very interesting role," a source told IANS.
The film also stars Nivin Pauly, Renji Panicker, Sai Kumar and Lakshmy Ramakrishnan.
Quite popular for his mimicking talent on YouTube, Ashwin will be making his Tamil debut with upcoming film Dhruvangal Pathinaaru.
